Hey Wadda you know....

You actually have things to talk about when you get up off your butt and go and do stuff...today I was out and about making a few deposits in my checking account, getting the oil in my car changed. I was on my way home happen to stop behind the huge monstrosity known as the Hummer H2....nothing gets me more frustrated than those vehicles. Honestly they're nothing more that a rolling sign that says I'M RICH...hummers original designed as a all-terrain vehicle for the military have become GGUVs (Gas.Guzziling.Utility.Vehicle) and I scratch my head and wonder why someone feels the need to flont the fact that they have enough Bank Roll to buy such a vehicle.

This presents a lovely debate topic comments are welcome Adam I know you venture here on ocassion as well as Andy lets hear it. what do you thing?

Waiting.....

Yeah I would like to say that there is lots to do and lots going around here...but truthfully there isn't....so I'm sitting here waiting for the 9th of January to arrive which ultimately when I can return to the apt. Andy help to rescue me from boredom yesterday we went to see Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou which was subtle humor at its best.

If everything works out and I'm feeling up to it I might head down to New City Cafe on Thursday and play a song or two they will probably be covers but whatelse do I do.

Christmas was awesome I received wonderful gifts from my family a nice columbia jacket, a couple of DVD's and such.

yeah so I would love to for this to be a long post and all but we're scraping the bottom of the barrel on this one.

I've got the FBC Mo'town winter retreat on saturday so I should have some things to talk about after that.

thats all for now.

2 Days....

With Christmas fastly approaching and all my shopping done what little I did being a man of limited means...I sit at home on break from school relaxing as one should...Its been awhile but I got my grade fixed in one of my classes so instead of a C I got a B so that helps the ole GPA out a bit and by the looks of the transcript I maintained my 2.10, but I must rock this last semester to get it up so that I can look forward to Fall...um maybe spring to seminary...Where? I don't know at this point....Well you might say might wanna start making your mind up I would say yes but not with haste.

We(being my family and I) had the pleasure of hosting my best buddy Josh and his wife(that sounds so weird) Brenda over for chili times were good and we capped off the night with Home Alone....

Well at this time of year tensions can run high and anxiety levels can rise but that when that's when you take a step back, take a sip of O'Grady's special egg nog and relax...(not speaking from experience that is).

But everyone do remember why celebrate this occasion....

Changes for the Good

Today after finals were over with for the day I still have one more by the way....we started the process of moving in our newest roommate Rick Barnes. Its been a task thus far trying to get Rick over to the apartments all year. We called, and called, and called again asking if he could move over during the first of the year never got a straight answer from residence life office. Finally after resumbitting an application Rick got the green light to move. Its intresting to say the least welcoming a guy who is old enough to be my dad(he would be young dad) but still interesting.

I'm looking forward to Christmas break with the family knowing that I'm not responsible for music and intern duties at FBC Mo'Town for atleast 2 or 3 weeks. Looking forward to attending FBC Concord for a bit...I know my place while I'm in school is at FBC Mo'Town but I have to say that Concord will always be my home I will say that Pastor is Jim is starting to grow on me he amazingly conservative; here's the kicker he's from California which is weird.

Well I got my last final tomorrow Hebrew @ 8:00 so I'm gonna get in the bed somewhat early thats all for now. I wish everyone within the Carson-Newman family a very merry christmas and everyone else that journeys to this neck of the blogger world the same as well.

So Far Come...So Far Yet To Go

well as of 1:00 this afternoon I am now 50% done with my finals 3 of 6 with only one that I really need to study for. I'm looking forward to Thursday cause that will be the non-offical start of christmas break. FBC Mo'town youth group is not meeting for next few weeks cause of christmas break and we will be leaving to go home so that is welcome break from that.

Signs of Age

It's weird the most special of things are the things that make you realize your getting old. One of those things the wedding of two of my best friends. I had the honor and privilege of being in Josh and Brenda's wedding yesterday. Standing there watching that ceremony yesterday caused my to see things in a different light. We are no longer kids we are slowly, (or fastly) becoming grown-up adults. It was also saddening abit to see such love and it is the experience or rather the non-experience of this writer to have never have had the first inklings of that kinda of love. But instead sitting here wallowing in a pool of self pity I trust in faith though very hard at times that God will bring the one he prepared long ago for me.
Enough of this depressing account We (Carson-Newman folk) are steadily approaching the end of the semester with finals coming up all will be hard at work to pass classes needed to graduate (especially me), look forward to the christmas holidays and long and extended break from school time to spend with family I'm glad its almost here cause burn-out is definantly becoming a reality with my ministry at FBC Mo'town.
